Have to leave a review so more community copies are available! I love everything horror, and this was my first solo RPG journaling game. I found the instructions very easy to follow, and had a great time creating a story that fit each of the prompts every time I drew a card!
I will say, some of the scenarios I drew as I was playing made the story very uneven - there were a lot of "all of a sudden" events that occurred - but I suppose the challenge is on me as the story creator to make the pacing more fluid. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience - I spent about an hour writing a page or two for each card I drew, and it took me two weeks to write a full story from beginning to end, as my schedule and energy allowed.
The beauty of games like this (one of the many!) are you can spend as much or as little time creating as you like - just enjoy the journey and have a great time! I loved it and would highly recommend to other horror or solo journal RPGers out there.
hi there fabulous creator. Just curious if there’s any more community copies available? I really appreciate game creators like you who do generously offer these community copies to people going through a hard time. It really helps out.
Purchased and just played. Had a blast. I recorded and thought I would share. Caveat is I’m not a great storyteller and it got a bit dark! Hope it helps folks understand the game a bit.
Completed a playthrough using the normal rules. I like it a lot! This was my first journaling game, and I think I'll pick up some others. Each prompt gives you a lot of juicy description to work into your writing.
Have just completed a first play through of this and it was a brilliant experience! My character, a ghost named Maurice, haunted an opera house after the passing of his wife in mysterious circumstances. The prompts are very effective at sparking one’s imagination! I cannot wait to play through again, I perhaps may even develop Maurice’s story even more! Thank you!
Really enjoyed this! Started with a mysterious cult and ended with a lonely crab god who just needed someone to talk to -- and loved the invitation to create and explore a rich, detailed story within a fairly short span of real-life time.
A quick mechanics question for you -- if a player draws a Joker for the Location, should they also resolve the first Joker prompt at that point? Thanks!
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying it. It sounds like you uncovered quite the story! If you ever post about it, definitely tag me. I’d love to read it and learn more about the cult and the lonely crab god.
For the mechanics: The card draw for the location is only used on the location table and then discarded. Only afterward do you start using the other tables. The idea is that the first card draw is the character arriving at the location, so the investigation hasn’t formally started.

This is good and i love
You spelled "Finally" as "finely" in your game. King of Diamonds. I am not sure how that got past your editor.
played with a friend awhile back! Was really fun
Looks super cool!

Thank you for sharing your story of Maurice! I’m glad you enjoyed Whispers. If you continue their story, I’d love to hear more about their adventures!
Thank you! I most definitely will! I’ll keep you posted!
Heard about this from a TikTok game shop and loved it. Such a cool concept and I’m loving the solo journaling rpg. Well done.
I love the art style!!
